Dear Kari, Ashley, Nadia, and Heather:
It's almost hard to remember what week it is because I feel like I've been here for months. That is something I'd like to thank you all for. It's an amazing feeling to be happy to come into work. I never know what to expect, but with events always happening, there is always something new and exciting. An upcoming event for me to look forward to is a field trip to the ACP meeting with Kari! I'm really anticipating a real-world experience outside of the office to see how my work and my company is going to impact the hospitalist industry.
Working with Ashley with Web 2.0 has been a great learning experience. Many people my age are "knowledgeable" about Facebook and YouTube - but only for personal social needs. Here, I get the opportunity to update and control SHM's accounts and provide information to the public. This is definitely a skill that I am looking forward to MASTERING. (Yes, I will be a master.) I am pretty confident I will learn everything there is to know about Facebook and YouTube. Our YouTube page is especially sweet if no one has checked it out yet... http://youtube.com/SHMLive
Nadia, you are hilarious to me. I enjoy our mini shopping site updates. Thanks for teaching me how to effectively use everything: Pequod, Informz, Basecamp, etc.
Heather and I haven't really worked together on a lot of things, but hopefully this will change! I am really interested in PR, especially how it impacts a non-profit. There are some PR-related skills I'd like to fine-tune, such as writing and communication.
Things to know about me... I can be pretty weird. Nadia already knows I get really frustrated at technology and yell at my computer a lot. I organize my thoughts out loud, and it confuses people a lot. Sometimes I can be a slow learner and I tried to stay organized so that I can manage my time more wisely and understand things more easily. (Ahem, sorry the matchbacks took so long, Kari!) Hopefully, with the help of everyone's patience, I will be able to do everything with flying colors soon.
Thanks for putting up with me thus far, ladies. :)
P.S. I'd like to request more delicious sushi lunch sessions.
