Step 1 Post

Working here daily reaffirms my need to work for myself! I remember in the Branding Luncheon, when he talked about being versatile by being able to work for any company. He considered this a personal asset. I do not think that I lack this quality, I just don't want it lol! Lately I have been thinking about post-college (since I am graduating next June) in terms of what and where I will take my design. I have considering Washington DC, Chicago, or Northern Jersey/NYC area. To be frank, I don't like other people dictating what I design. There is not much satisfaction in that. Every piece of design I create here all ties back to SHM. Where I want to take my design is much more focused, and only I can manifest the. Designing in this medium though, to is great skill to have. Working at SHM not only builds character through interaction with people, you also learn much about yourself working with others. Everything is meant. Even though my internship here is not exactly what I want to do, I am LEARNING. Everything I learn here, I WILL need in future. So everyday, I soak it up....and learn to laugh a little....it helps.
