This past Thursday, I went to my first Q.I. meeting and I realized how much this department covers when it comes to quality initiatives. Not only does each member work on projects such as Glycemic Control or BOOST, but each member also carries a lot of responsibilities.
This meeting served as an alert for me because it made me feel that my position is very important because I am responsible for essential components of this department. I realized that the research that I do is very valuable to the Q.I. department, along with my smaller tasks such as creating surveys and keeping track of implementation guide downloads. The research itself is quite challenging so I can’t imagine how challenging future tasks will be. I’m really excited for my future responsibilities and the challenges that come along with them!
