Sorry, Meredith...

Dear Kari, Ashley, and Nadia –

Last time I wrote this letter, it included Heather. :( It’s funny how much and how little has changed in the last five months. I have enjoyed working and learning from you guys on a daily basis. Coming into this co-op, I had no idea what to expect – at all. But the three of you have gone above and beyond to really ensure that I continue growing personally and professionally. So, thank you!

Kari – As my direct supervisor, you have been understanding about ever-y-thing – from re-explaining the little work things that I don’t get right away… to allowing me to vent about living at home… to pushing me to take dance classes… and supporting me to get an A in Finance (after that test, I’m not so sure about that one anymore). Also, you push me to own my work and take the lead on things even though it always makes me nervous, but in the end, I am grateful for the opportunities. Plus, our passion for things like… Harry Potter and Twilight is a huge bonus! I wish I had gone to Vancouver instead of Quebec so I could have stalked R.Patz and co.

Ashley – As I mentioned with Kari, you also let me take the lead on a lot of things. And that’s how I found out about the fascinating world of Web 2.0. It’s been great seeing how many of those Web products I have been able to apply to other areas of my life outside of work and the ability I have to assess performance of metrics. I think that most of all, I appreciate the fact that you have always told me when I have done something well and when I could’ve done better because that’s what really helps me learn.

Nadia – I feel like when I first started here, I had a couple different little things to do. After working closely with you, I have been able to dabble in a lot more from store, creative marketing, email marketing, and social media. Thanks for including me in all sorts of processes and being my go-to guy since I can count on you to answer your phone 74987465343 times a day. But my favorite is probably sitting and talking about shoes and belts and… did you see MKA at Tokyo’s new Opening Ceremony flagship? So cute!! Well…here it is for everyone to enjoy!

Planning all this wrap-up stuff has made me very sad and nostalgic, but I'm excited to take with me all that I've learned at SHM. I will definitely be keeping in touch. Often. :)
