5 4 3 2 1...

Did you know... that a goldfish’s attention span is three seconds.

Only 4 more days left of this beautiful place and all its beautiful people. I won't be able to sit next to GreenEyesxBabyy everyday because we don't have any of the same classes... Boo. I have a feeling classes will be different now that I have insight to what can relevant to the workplace.

The most important thing I've learned in my time here is something that's a part of SHM's big picture... it's an organization is made up of individual people with distinct characteristics. And that's what makes a team. That's what makes a family. So really... I learned that before I was even hired - when the Core Values were mentioned during my interview. A lot of places say that they care about their employees, but I feel like SHM has really gone above and beyond. In doing so, every person in the department has help to foster my development and success here and for the future. For my next co-op, I realized I don't want a big company that will throw me into a little corner cubicle and forget about me until they have work for me...

I think that's one of the biggest things I've learned here - that office spaces and people like this do exist! How will I ever be able to find a place like this??? It's not like in the movies with the really mean/annoying boss and mean/annoying co-workers who spread rumors about you at the water cooler hahaha. And I know that places like that really do exist too. Thanks Todd for always reassuring me during one of your philosophical talks to follow what you like to do... and don't just DO.... and to ask questions. It's those life lessons that will really stick with me forever.
