Hey guys,
It's the "new smiling MA" Jake. Such a cheery introduction from Meredith. Thank you. So this is not only my first Collective Reality blog post but my first ever blog post. Crazy huh? I just never thought anyone would care enough to read a blog I posted so I never got into it. But I'm up for giving it a try. Alright so three interesting things about me...
1. Im and avid collector of Oakley sunglasses. I have seven pairs now and a few of them are limited or special editions. Ive spent way to much money on glasses already and plan on spending way to much more. If anyone else is interested in Oakley's, I can talk all day.
2. I have a shore house in Brigantine, New Jersey and spend every weekend of the summer there. It's one of my favorite places in the world. I spend the whole day either surfing (when the surfs decent) or playing volleyball, football, soccer, etc.
3. I consider myself to be a decent griller. One of my favorite things to do is grill for dinner. Steaks, burgers, chicken, seafood, you name it. I have two family friends who are accomplisehd chefs so whenever were together I always look for tips and hints. If anyone ever wants dinner I keep a little charcoal grill on my porch at my apartment and I do requests.
So I guess those are three interestings things about me. As for my first day here, my first thought was whoa, all this stuff is way above my head. I was definitly outside my comfort zone and did not know what to expect when i started doing actual work. I also thought it was kind of familiar to my summer job the last few years, working at a marketing firm. They use Cision we use Cision, its hectic there, its hectic here. After my first week I was much more comfortable, starting to understand key terms and figures in the business. Especially acronyms. I still have tio learn some but getting better. I also thought to myself, and voiced it to Todd and John, that being male I feel definitley in the minority. Just an observation though. So those have been my thoughts of the day. Plenty of work left to do but I enjoyed my first blog post. Thought it went well and look foward to another one.
