Office Space

Whats going on all? Hope everyone had a good weekend aside from a heartbreaking Bird's loss. It's alright though. Were still the best team in the NFC East and will end of winning the division. So the question this week deals with having fun in the workplace. In my opinion, fun and laughter have no place in an office setting. Just kidding! See thats some fun right there. In my personal experience there is a certain amount of trust gained between co-workers when they move beyond workplace conversation and relationships. When there is no joking in the workplace, there can often be a tension created between peers. They look at each other solely as machines who do their designated job. I do my best to try and make sure I talk to everyone here about events not related to work. It keeps the workplace fresh and allows for conversation and interaction that would not occur otherwise. In my opinon humor is key to working well. If I am staring at my screen for 8 hours just working, I begin to lose focus. I need something to momentarily divert my attention and that allows me to refocus on the goal at hand. So humor is important. Work is important. Balance the two and you will enjoy work and be a more productive person.
