Okay let's be real now:
Dear Todd,
This morning you asked all of us to write a letter to you. What am I going to say? No idea, really.
Well, I'm glad you realize that you suck at writing in the blog on time. The question you have to answer is from last week, not this week. If you answer the wrong question, you lose major points.
It's hard to motivate people to write in here. When the bossman is assigned to write in the blog and takes longer to answer the question than Jake does, there's a problem. I understand there is a lot on your plate, but you constantly stress how important writing in here is, especially on time, so when you don't post on time, it becomes hypocritical, a bad example, and it makes me sad!
I'm not saying all that to bust your chops, and I don't know if I even worded it the best way, but as a department-wide activity (and Roshni), I'm constantly wondering why it takes someone 5 days, last minute, or late, to write in the blog each week. In my opinion, the blog shouldn't be seen as a "Friday activity." It should be seen as a place to visit when you want to take a break from your tasks.
On another note, I just got a stack of resumes from Ashley yesterday. I'm pretty pumped to review them, even though I don't recognize any names. I think I enjoy this process so much because I like seeing different styles of resumes, and I like knowing that I have the ability to decide which resume is good enough and which one would never in a million years qualify for an interview. I like knowing that I have a part in deciding who will be the next round of MAs. Also, I really enjoy sitting in on the interviews.
Remember last year when Alex, Dettmer, Jill and I started? I remember the first Friday we were there, you gave us a "Friday activity" and we all competed to see who could come up with the best concept for something and whoever won got some kind of prize. What happened to those Friday activities? I always look forward to Fridays, but having even a bi-weekly fun Friday activity/competition between the MAs, SMA and full-time GD would be fun to start up again. Ready.....go! ....Just kidding, but think about it?
That's all I've got.
Meredith
