I think all of the comments from below are wonderful. I think incentives toward this specific group are vital to the success of an event. In that regard, I would ask people at HM11 what kind of events would entice them. The feedback from the people who are at HM11 is important, but it is equally if not more impotant to figure out the opinions of those who chose NOT to attend. Maybe it is as simple as a blast e-mail asking for feedback from those who didn't attend, or maybe it is having a committee leaders reach out to co-workers/committee members that chose not to attend and we can find out why on a more personal level.
