Hello.  My name is Adam Albaugh.  Currently, I work for the Society of Hospital Medicine, in the IT department as an IT Analyst.  The Society of Hospital Medicine is dedicated to promoting the highest standard of care for in-patients at hospitals.  Consequently, it is vital that the computer networks and systems we use are working properly and efficiently at all times.  I am personally involved in maintaining some sections of our computer network, and resolving any immediate issues that crop up.  In addition, I am also responsible for researching emerging technologies and evaluating the benefits of introducing them at SHM.  I have learned an incredible amount about managing networks, and providing low-level technical support, and have also gained much experience in contacting software vendors and obtaining information.  I expect both of these skills to be extremely valuable to me in the future.
