Didn't hear it in an interview, but during my interviewing process, my mom was constantly reminding me that there are more important aspects of a job than money.
When I was deciding between the places that offered me co-ops, I was torn between here, and returning to my last co-op employer at the Korman Center on Drexel's campus. Korman pays significantly more than this position does, so I'll admit I was leaning towards them for a while. I was talking with my mom who kept hammering on the point that at my age, I should concern myself more with getting valuable experiences in my life, rather than working simply for a wage. Of course, I was just about to move into a new apartment, so I was hesitant to work for less.

Obviously, I ended up going with my mom's advice. It was very good advice.
