General business classes at Drexel drill things like leadership, management, and strategy down our throat. Learning these things in a classroom is completely different than learning them in real life.

What have you learned about one, or all of these things, during your time here at SHM?

Amusement Park

Well, since I'm the only person in the world who has never been to Disney World or Universal, my two favorite parks are Dorney Park and Six Flags. I like the roller coasters at six flags, and my favorite is Nitro. It has the biggest drop and it gets me every time. (In case your wondering why I didn't say Kingda Ka, I've only been once and I didn't feel like spending my whole day in line.) But my real favorite overall is Dorney. I used to go at at least once every summer as a kid and I've been on every ride there. My favorite ride at Dorney is Talon just because it never gets old, but Steel Force is a close second. I also love that you can get into Wildwater Kingdom for free and go to both parks, which is perfect on a hot summer day.

Parks

Same as Jackie. I LOVE Disney and Universal! I hate Six Flags by the way, I cant stand those extreme rides. The Disney and Universal parks in Orlando are much bigger and better. I just love going to Disney and never can resist those super cute things there!! omg ! My favorite ride would be the one in Universal's Island of Adventure. It's called the Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges. That is the water ride, and you can get really really wet after that. But it is so much fun! You also can use quarter-machine water gun to attack your friends when they are riding. That's why you can get super-wet after that. LoL. The newest ride in Universal's Island of Adventure is the Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey. I remembered I was there in a gloomy day, and it was so amazing like feeling the real setting of Harry Potter's story: magical, mysterious... So much fun, I want to go again already !!

Amusement Park?

My favorite amusement park is probably Disney World, specifically Animal Kingdom. Universal is also in the running. I am not really sure if these two places count. As embarrassing as this may be I really like all the kid rides. The Winnie the Pooh one is probably my favorite (I know I am weird). I also really enjoy the 3D shows they have. The reason behind this is mainly because I am absolutely terrified of roller coasters. I am always that person who holds every ones belongings while they go on the rides. I have been on one or maybe two roller coasters in my life and I cried the whole time. Anyway, I love going to Disney World and Universal. I have been to Hersey Park before and I can say that I love all the chocolate and candy!       

Reading Ashley's post, I started remembering more about Hershey.  My family used to go there once a year, but sadly it just became too expensive.  My favorite park would have to be Knoebels, up in Elysburg PA.  The place is great.  It's in the middle of nowhere, with some excellent space directly next door that is perfect for camping.  The place is full of trees, so it's always nice and shady, the food is great, and the rides are sweet.  They have 3 roller coasters (2 wooden and one indoor steel), with a third under construction (ok, there is a kiddie coaster too, but that doesn't count).  Out of them, I love the Pheonix, the oldest of the park's current coasters.  My favorite ride there, though, is the Powersurge.  It's set up with a six-spoked wheel.  On the end of each wheel, there is an arm that comes down, and connects to two sets of seats (one set on each side of the arm, 2 seats per set).  This wheel is attached to a horizontal arm.  The arm lifts the wheel into the sky, so it's vertical.  then the chair sets (the individual sets of 2) spin freely, as the arms the seat sets are attached to rotates, AND the wheel itself spins.  It's pretty insane.

Well growing up only about 20 minutes from Hershey Park I have to definately say it is my favorite amusement park. We used to have family passes and go almost every Friday night with my grandparents and family. It was always such a blast! Every year the park gets better and better too which keeps it interesting. They are always adding new rides and I mean you can't resist taking a trip to Chocolate World every time you go (which is right next to the park and has a free experience ride where you get free chocolate at the end). Hershey Park now has a new water park which is really cool because before that they never really had any good water rides. I have to say though my favorite ride is probably either the Great Bear or the Super Duper Looper which are both roller coasters. I am a huge roller coaster fan and love the thrill of all the different rides offered at Hershey Park.
